The time has come to crown the ultimate Southern Sweet. We’ve gone from a field of 68 to two finalists … and lost a lot of good sweets along the way. There were a number of shocking upsets and Cinderella-wannabes along the way, but when it came right down to it, two 1-seeds came through it all to meet at the end.
In the Final Four, #1 out of the Miscellany Region, Sweet Tea, handily defeated the #2 out of Pies, Cobblers and Dumplings with 70% of the vote.
In the other semi-final, the #1 Nanner Puddin’ out of the Cakes, Puddings and Ice Cream Region took down #6 Lemon Squares out of Hand-Held Treats by a 60%-40% margin.
Now it’s up to you to decide the Ultimate Southern Sweet, the champion of all things Southern and sugary. Vote early, vote often and vote wisely. You have to live with the consequences for at least a year.

What an odd final pairing but isn’t that always the way! This was a fun post to follow – thanks, Kathleen
Thanks! We’ve enjoyed it. Maybe next time, we can knock it out faster.
